【Exhibition Overview】The 34th Hong Kong Trade Development Council Hong Kong Gifts and Premiums Exhibition, hosted by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and co-organized by the Hong Kong Exporters' Association, was held from April 27 to 30, 2019 with outstanding results . The gift show is the world's largest exhibition of its kind, with a total of 4,380 exhibitors from 31 countries and regions participating, setting a new historical record. Among them, the regional pavilions include Mainland China, Hong Kong Exporters' Association, India, Italy, South Korea, Macau, China, Nepal, Taiwan, China, Thailand, United Kingdom. In order to further cater to the different purchasing needs of buyers, the conference has set up a special exhibition area "Excellence Gallery"-displaying exquisite, noble and creative products in a high-profile atmosphere.
The last exhibition attracted a total of about 49,500 buyers from 146 countries and regions. The largest buyers were from Mainland China, the United States, Taiwan, Japan, Australia, India, South Korea, the United Kingdom, the Philippines and Germany. The Hong Kong Trade Development Council commissioned an independent survey agency to sample 928 exhibitors and buyers in the exhibition venue to understand their views on the industry's prospects and expectations of product trends. The survey shows that 89% of the interviewed industry expects that the overall turnover will be flat or grow in 2019, and about 51% of the respondents expect that production costs or procurement costs will increase. The survey also explored product trends in the gift industry. Most respondents believed that promotional gifts and gifts had the greatest growth potential, followed by technology products, small furnishings and decorations, and toys and sporting goods.
